We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse or teacher to join a beautiful nursery based in south West London. Excellent Salary package and company benefits.

  • · To deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory framework and any other appropriate guidance for young children in accordance with nursery policy and procedures.
  • · To ensure that you attend to the all-round daily needs of the children by enhancing their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.
  • · To manage and support all safeguarding, child protection issues/incidents/accidents in line with nursery policy.
  • · To ensure that action in relation to safeguarding and child protection is taken immediately and that close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns continues.
  • · To assist with health and safety checks as required to ensure the nursery is clean, tidy, safe and secure for all children, staff, parents/carers and visitors and to ensure that is it well organised to support learning and child development.
  • · To ensure that no child is ever left on their own in a room or on an outing.
  • · To understand the key person system and work effectively to support all children and their families.
  • · To observe, analyse and assess children’s learning in line with nursery policy.
  • · To develop key children folders as a record of progress and achievement.
  • · To use observations and assessments to plan for learning which meets the needs of all children.
  • · To assist children with personal and intimate care, including changing nappies, assisting with toileting and other associated welfare duties.
  • · To develop and maintain up to date care diaries for each key child on Tapestry.
  • · To support children in serving their own food, milk, drinks and snacks and encourage good nutrition and sociable eating.
  • · To manage milk kitchen duties and procedures. (Baby and toddler rooms)
  • · To ensure all children get adequate rest by following sleep routines and nursery policy.
  • · To help ensure that all children have adequate access to the garden and outside trips.
  • · To cover for other staff as appropriate and as directed by your manager, ensuring that children’s welfare is paramount at all times.
